This year Hanukkah, a Jewish festival, begins on 28.11.2021. Hanukkah is a festival when people light lamps for eight days. In the old days, people collected monetary donations during this time in Jewish communities. But not only them. Children received the famous Hanukkah gelt during the festival — they eagerly waited for it. Both children and adults played cards and dreidl during the festival time — a small spinner with letters on its edges. They all tried their business and financial fortune aimed at the following year. Some of them topped up their wallets. Somebody lost money. Till the next Hanukkah.
